For children, butter cookies can be addictive but it is fine if taken in moderation. Ensure other sugar intake are low within the day.

The making of butter cookies can be lengthy so be sure you have at least 1.5hours to spare. You may get your child involve cause it be lots of fun making as well as eating them.

These are the ingredients we need:

  • 300g of plain flour,
  • 250g of butter,
  • 140g of sugar, (in room temperature)
  • An egg yolk,
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Here are the steps:

butter, egg yolk and sugarFirstly, mix butter, sugar, vanilla extract and egg yolk together.

Next sift in four. Then, with very clean hands, mix dough thoroughly. This task requires some strength so an adult should do a better job.

Next, roll the dough, recommended to use baking paper  on top of dough so that the dough doesn’t stick to the rolling pin. Either that or dust the rolling pin with some flour.

Now comes the fun part – pressing in the cookie cutters. Use a butter knife, very gently,  lift up the pressed dough and transfer to baking tray. bake for about 15 to 20 minutes

The suface of butter cookies should be light roasted. Enjoy!                                                                                                          Daffy Duck Silicon Baking Mold
