Children Learning Reading program

Many of us have been using English in our daily life. We listen, read, speak and write everyday. But when it comes to teaching young children to read, we may not know where to start. The Children Learning Reading program is a step-by-step guide that helps us as busy parents to teach children to read. At stage 1, it begins with the simplest lesson 1 with letter ‘A’ and ends with lesson 28 letter ‘X’. In between the lessons, many letters and phonics are introduced with text an audio. Children will learn four important things, which are:

  • recognize the letters
  • write with the correct strokes,
  • recognize the sound of each letter and
  • learn words which contains that phonic sound. Read more »

Children Learning Reading Stage 1

Children Learning Reading Stage 1

Okay, I have to admit that I’m somehow concern about Elden who hasn’t pickup much reading at the age of 4 years and 5 months. Some children read as young as 3 years old while others can only read by age 6 or 7. For a demanding educational system Singapore, I guess, it’s always good to start any child on reading as soon as possible.

So, I finally got a Children Learning Reading program which I have been contemplating so far. Ha ha! Now that I have the program, I’m confident with some effort, Elden will start reading real soon!

I got this program because I was impressed by the writer’s own effort in teaching his own children to read at very young age- 2+! See video below:
